Blog post 1: What I am Learning

Generative AI is growing more and more every day. Through my research on this subject, the sources I have gone over have helped me to further my understanding the possibilities of AI in education and its impacts on other spheres of the world. I am a skeptic when it comes to AI, so I was surprised to see that each of these sources touched on impressive growth in productivity alongside focusing on the importance of details affecting bias, equity, and its effects on faculty and all employees ( the part that concerns me the most ). The OECD report primarily emphasizes growth in productivity and innovation across sectors which brought me to thinking about how AI can be used well in elementary education. They highlighted the benefits of the assistance of AI in lesson planning, aid in reading level differentiation, and quicker formative feedback for students. I have learned that within my career, AI has endless potential in assisting productivity as a teacher and a student, organizing student data protectively, and diversifying educational possibilities.
